Home Visits

homevisits

Home visits should be requested only for patients who are incapacitated or house bound.

Please contact the surgery before 11.00AM on the day you need to be seen. The receptionist will always ask for brief details of your problem so that the doctor may decide on the urgency of your request.

If you ask for a home visit in an emergency you may be asked to wait and speak directly to a doctor or the doctor may call you back. Please make sure we have your up to date home telephone number.

Telephone Consultations

You may find that you need to speak to your doctor or nurse for advice and assistance instead of being seen. When this happens please contact reception before 11.00AM and ask to be booked in for a telephone consultation. (NB: each GP has five telephone slots when on duty, once these slots are booked you will be offered an alternative GP).  The receptionist will take your name and address, contact telephone number and brief details of why you wish to speak to the doctor. This will enable the doctor to decide on the urgency of your request and telephone you at an appropriate time. If you need advice from a nurse, for example about holiday injections, please contact reception as above and the nurse will contact you.
